Job Summary:
The Project Manager II is responsible for overseeing less complex projects from initiation to delivery. This includes coordinating with all stakeholders, assembling project teams, assigning responsibilities, identifying necessary resources, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion. The role also involves budget monitoring and ensuring adherence to project milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project team information to support decision-making by project teams, LCTs, and/or LCCs.
- Proactively identify and communicate issues to stakeholders.
- Create, coordinate, and maintain integrated project plans.
- Identify gaps, potential delays, and bottlenecks, challenge assumptions, and propose solutions to keep projects on track.
- Prepare for and manage project milestone reviews.
- Organize and facilitate meetings, including setting agendas and documenting minutes.
- Execute project management processes and ensure best practices are followed.
- Foster continuous improvement by sharing knowledge and promoting collaboration.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or business administration (required).
- Master’s degree in the same fields (preferred).
Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience in project management, product development, or a related field (required).
- Equivalent education and work experience combinations are acceptable.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to coordinate project activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic stakeholder management and facilitation abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Project or other project and portfolio management tools.
- Ability to manage projects with ambitious milestones and escalate issues when necessary.
- Familiarity with Design Control and/or Phased Development processes (preferred).
